To extend lifespan, soak in 80°C warm water for 2–3 minutes before first use and briefly before each session to soften the bamboo.

Avoid scraping hard against rough ceramic bowls or using in boiling water, which may damage or deform the whisk.

After use, rinse with clean water, shake off excess, and air-dry in a ventilated place. For best results, place on a whisk holder (chasen-tate) to maintain shape.
