DESIGN & FEATURES

The Mi Sha · 米砂 Matcha Bowl began with an appreciation for the clay itself. Its soft white finish reveals tiny natural speckles on closer inspection, adding subtle depth to its simple, understated form.

Hand-thrown in Jingdezhen, each bowl celebrates the character of clay that has not undergone extensive industrial refinement. A rounded silhouette and gentle pouring lip bring everyday function to its quiet design.

MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP

Made from fine ceramic clay with a natural mineral and plant-ash glaze, Mi Sha uses a traditional white-slip technique known as kohiki (粉引).

Fired in an electric kiln at approximately 1,280°C, each piece retains subtle variations that reflect its materials and handmade production.
